Prior to this vinyl LP reissue, Jose Prates and Miecio Askanasy’s 1958 Brazilian jazz record had the inauspicious reputation of being both of landmark importance and staggeringly rare at the same time. Luckily, Trunk records have decided to get it back in print. Fittingly for a record Gilles Peterson said he’d pay £1000 for, it’s an incomparable mixture of jazz, funk and bossa nova.
