Brooke and Will Blair are spooky brothers who actually had nothing to do with that witch project everyone goes on about. They scored the film Blue Ruin and filled it with crystalline drones that shimmer over the scenes as if wind were feedback. It's fitting, all this ambient fear-mongering, for a film focused on the strong-bonding tensions of revenge.

Every fortnight or so, another esoteric transmission is released from the deepest, darkest bowels of Sheffield. This is definitely one of the most ambient things the legendary Blackest Rainbow have put out in a fair while and is the actual sinister, throbbing soundtrack to last May's 'Blue Ruin', a fine looking independent vengeance-themed film that looks like it may well be up my street if the OST is this damn impressive.
I don't know who wrote this for our pre-release description but the words flow much more nicely than anything I can muster right now. That Pinhead in Fantasia record has left me proper head-screwed:
"They (Brooke and Will Blair) have scored this film Blue Ruin and filled it with crystalline drones that shimmer over the scenes as if wind were feedback. It's fitting, all this dark ambient fear-mongering, for a film focused on the strong-bonding tensions of revenge"
