A remix of two of The Fat White Family’s songs, Auto Neutron and Without Consent, by half of the members of Decius, which is a collaboration group containing the singer from The Fat White Family and Ez-Ra and Lamik among others. If you didn’t know, The Fat White Family are one of those modern punk groups, always with a lingering smell of sweat and Jack Daniels.

Ez-Ra Vs Lamik Remixes by The Fat White Family

The Fat White Family have one original idea of their own, two if you include  taking their trousers off. Luckily I’ve been kept at a safe distance from their records, probably for the good of everyone involved.

Their one idea is stretched to breaking point across their own dreary monotone records so its time for the ubiquitous remix project. Here their dismal efforts are re-badged for the dancefloor to the pleasure of absolutely no-one. On the A side Ez Ra provide bass and drum pulse inserting snatched of grainy vocal into the proceedings.  On the B side there’s a different pulse with some backwards vocal effects slopped in. The final track is probably the best of the lot with a bit of a PIL bassline and a more realised vocal. I’d still rather have my eyes gouged out than listen to it again but comparatively its ok.
