Semi-legendary British mod rockers Action unleash their guitar-centric jams on In My Lonely Room. The title track takes the oringial and strips it back and straightens it out whilst keeping the luscious vocal harmonies. All the covers have Action's distinctive sound all over them, and spin the originals into mod jivers. These previously unreleased cuts are being pressed on 10” vinyl by the folks at Top Sounds.

9/10 Brian Elder Customer review, 7th December 2014
A wonderful 4 track EP of previously unissued tracks from the seminal Sixties Mod/Soul band the Action. Just when we though we'd "discovered" all possible recordings from the band , Top Sounds pull the trump card. Three tracks as the Action and one track from their previous incarnation as the Boys. All four tracks stem from an (unsuccessful) audition for Decca in early 1965. Thought lost until newly discovered acetates in the personal collection of band member Pete "Ace" Watson. An earthy sound to the tracks which clearly shows how wonderful the production was in George Martins A.I.R studios when signed to Parlophone later that year.
Cleaned up and restored sound from acetates, a rougher sounding , almost live take on their B-side cover of the Motown classic "In my Lonely Room"; a cover of the Temps "Girl"; the Impressions and a Reg King original ballad (as the Boys). An essential purchase for fans of the band and Sixties buffs in general. In lovely 10" vinyl paunchy mono from Top Sounds. A piece of the Action? Yes please !!!
