The first volume of this compilation series sheds light on a mostly unlit portion of north American and Canadian music during the rise of folk and rock music from 1966 to 1985. The indigenous peoples of said regions brought their own edge to the popular folk of the time, 34 time-tested tracks of which have been brought together here in addition to extensive literature for both the CD and LP issues.

9/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 16th February 2015
I love Light In The Attic Records. They unearth nuggets of forgotten about rock/pop/country and more with frequency and stunning consistency of high quality. "Native North America - Vol.1 : Aboriginal Folk, Rock and Country 1966-1985" is a treasure trove of folkish country and countyish folk spread across three LPs. To keep it simple and give a broad impression of this box set, if you like early Neil Young, then there's a good chance you'll like this. Obviously that doesn't cover it all, but if I were to describe everything on here I'd be still writing next week.
