The title behind 'Tape Music Is Killing The Neighbours' is a defensive reflex to the musical powers that be (or were) back in the 1980s. According to the big bosses at the labels, "home taping" -- aka the underground punk ethos -- was "killing music". 'La Maison' responds with fury, celebrating home recording with a bunch of amateur recording happening in bedrooms and gig spaces about Milan. This short 'n' sweet cassette is a snapshot of Italian DIY from way back when.

8/10 Simon Holroyd Customer review, 24th November 2014

My wages haven't really kept pace with the gentrification of buying records and being into music. Plus, all those Medical, Captured Tracks etc reissues look, and probably are, amazing, how would I ever pick? Luckily for me this tape, my go-to format at the moment, is amazing! Proper good minimal synth and guitar D.I.Y. heading towards a Throbbing Sex Dwarf Gristle disco. Some brilliant pop songs on it, real 'hits', you should buy it.
