Here's some punk shit right here: Barbara Lynn sang the blues in 1960s, which is not all that surprising, but she did it in Texas, of all places, and led proceedings herself with masterful guitar work. Amidst the misogyny and traditions of the landscape she was performing in, Barbara Lynn was an icon. Originally released in 1968, 'Here Is Barbara Lynn' showed off her skills as a guitarist and soul singer, and now gets reissued on the nostalgic ol' Light In The Attic label.
