Let it not be said that either Sindre Bjerga or Fabio Orsi are the type to shy away from a collaboration, providing all sorts of handy missing links for your next game of 'Six Degrees of Sonic Bacon'. This week they're teaming up with one another for a mysterious CD where Orsi's glacial dark ambient drones and meditative long-form textures are buffetted against by Bjerga's otherwordly collage of processed sounds and paranoid atmospheres.

The results is a slowly morphing mass of tone, easing from the bassy throbs and eerie squeaks of the opener through dystopian robotic throbs and buzzes all littered with crunchy indeterminate sonic detritus and squealing, spluttering distortion, all the way to weightless deep space driftscapes. It's these more understated moments that I'm enjoying more, particularly track four (if they have titles I can't find them) which pairs a softly throbbing buzz-drone with some soft whooshes and mysterious field recorded clacks and bumps, sort of like someone's trying to break into a locked box as quietly as possible.
