Geeky alt rockers Weezer return with their first studio record in four years, and judging by the record titles ('Raditude', and, uh, 'Hurley'?), the first record they've taken seriously in a very long time. 'Evertything Will Be Alright In The End' sees the band working with Ric Ocasek again, the producer who helped make their seminal 'Blue Album'. On 'Everything Will Be Alright In The End', Weezer attempt to throw back to the good ol' days of shredding pop songs.

Musically, this things rocks off the roof. The drums hit harder than they've ever hit before and the guitars crunch in a way they haven't since 'Pinkerton.' That closing trilogy almost makes up for River's dumb lyrics, which abound through out. Dumb as they are in places, the lyrics and River's vocals are definitely given an excellent arrangement. If you like Weezer and are not still living in the 90's...and you realize that bands progress, regress, or whatever- I highly recommend this album to you.
