Funky garage house producer Andras Fox, who loves to dabble with jazz and funk as well, conjures up six tunes here for his new release 'Vibrate on Silent', out on Mexican Summer. It's a sparse affair, showing off minimal exchanges between hypnotic rhythms, steadfast beats and funky sampled effects. Gotta have some sax, too.

7/10 Clinton Staff review, 11 September 2014

I played this earlier today (possibly at the wrong speed but we won’t let little things like that bother us shall we?) and the general consensus in the office was that it sounded like a load of Sade demo’s on which she hasn't bothered adding vocals. There’s a real early - mid 80’s demo feel to the tracks with simple drum machine, evocative summery melodies played out on the most basic of synths with lots of new-agey touches like the sounds of gently lapping waves. Ideal lounge listening, smooth as a pair of silk pyjamas its a relaxed and relaxing record, any nods to g-funk and house are done in the most minimal and soporific fashion. Synth washes are smooth and guitars and bass clipped. The usual caveat with this type of record applies  - it contains pan pipes.  Generally, however the feel is of old ‘Diamond Life’ demos pre-vocals.

8/10 Andrew Customer review, 14th September 2014

45 rpm or 33rpm, I played side one at 33rpm and felt happy enough with that, but the first track on the flip just wasn't right, so 45rpm. Yep the B side was better, deep house vibes giving way to lazier grooves on the next couple of tracks. Played the A side again at 45rpm and it made more sense. Andras Fox is clearly a gifted producer, he is playing around with house grooves, funk, jazz and even touches of ambient to produce high quality balearic music that is sure to find a welcome audience. His work under the A.R.T. Wilson moniker demonstrates more sophistication, this is a more than good mini LP of blissful beats.
