Finitude Music is a brand new record label from Marcel Heese, the electronic producer based in Berlin. His first 12" release comes via a little collaborative fun with from P.E.A.R.L., a producer out in Spain. Together they bring forth "Entrance", which also gets a nifty remix from minimal techno artist Sleeparchive.

7/10 Brian Staff review, 12 September 2014

Proper nice slice of liquid techno here from PMH. A clean, airy and steadily paced track with a subtle dubbed-out undercurrent. Gently propulsive stuff that could easily work as a back room mood-setter or, due to its more horizontalist subtleties, as a piece of atmosphere-laden home/headphone listening. Some very cerebrally engaging touches and lush ambient-stylings make 'Entrance' a truly classy piece of modern 4/4.

Over on the other face is a more banging Sleeparchive re-fit. I'll be honest and say here that Mr. Semsroth has actually turned in a version that doesn't satisfy me nearly as much as the original and this is a rare, if not unheard-of occurrence. Not to worry as it's still a most effective floor track, just that I don't particularly enjoy the sounds he uses and I'm finding it a little irritating and dare I say generic. However I could see it working quite well as a DJ tool so mixed in to a set by a true professional, the banging gruff kick and flighty spin-backs easily keep the momentum but the calming intricacies of the original, largely lost here, can claim the upper hand out of the two versions.
