Jealous God brings about this new release from French minimal synth outfit In Aeternam Vale. Previously a duo of Laurent Prot and Pascal Aubert, the band has become the sole project of Prot, who has been left to his own devices to make all the techno he wants. 'Jealous God 05' features three new tracks from In Aeternam Vale, which should be a heavy enough dosage of synthwave for us to take.

8/10 Ian Staff review, 02 September 2014
Now the solo project of Frenchman Laurent Prot In Aeternam Vale releases this twelve inch on the Jealous God label, Prot brings you a dark breed of synthwave with bouncy bass lines that is both industrial and funk laden in equal measures. Side A is a mid paced chunk of head nodding future groove with unnerving distorted and filtered noise, quite a scary head trip to be honest but the darker side of electronic music has always lured me down it's murky alleyways. The two tracks on the B-side are a much more club friendy techno style but still with a double dose of creepy, also included here is a mix CD from Kerri LeBon which is an interesting melting pot of classic 80's indie like The Wake and Felt through synth noise like Whitehouse and Caberet Voltaire, well worth it for this alone in my opinion!
