'The Spirit Molecule' is the brainchild of electronic artists Oscar Mulero and Christian Wunsch, a collaborative 12" on Tsunami (Wunsch's very own home label), that brings together two individually composed tunes. As if that wasn't enough, they're joined by minimal techno artist Sleeparchive, who contributes a tune to keep things moving. An electronic supergroup making tunes on their own.

8/10 Brian Staff review, 05 September 2014

'The Spirit Molecule' is the brainchild of electronic artists Oscar Mulero and Christian Wunsch, a collaborative 12" on Tsunami (Wunsch's very own home label), that brings together two individually composed tunes. As if that wasn't enough, they're joined by minimal techno genius Sleeparchive, who contributes his tune to this private twelve inch party. An electronic supergroup making tunes independently?

I've skipped straight to the Sleeparchive piece here as I'm a big fan, the other tracks being high quality minimal with metallic ricochets and classic Detroit propulsion or clean, rhythmical and trippy mid-paced techno, with a 90's style ambient shimmer. What is it about Sleeparchive that I like so much? His track here is so beautiful, sporting twin-tracked bubbling off-key arpeggios giddily blooping away over a classic cymbal-capped pulsing rush, the gentlest of relentless cyclic kicks driving it along. Pure hypnotic genius for the mind. Close your eyes and this track sucks you into its orbit and you won't be happy when it fades out. 20 minute cut of this please Roger!
