Late last year, electronic act Pastacas joined forces with the psychedelic indie pop of Tenniscoats to make a dimly lit record of modest acoustic and experimental songs. 'Yaki-Läki', as it was known, now receives tribute and celebration by a wide variety of artists on 'Yaki-Läki'; this collection contains both remixes from electronic-minded artists and a more traditional cover.

8/10 Mike Staff review, 27 August 2014
Last year electronic act Pastacas joined delicate minimal indie popsters Tenniscoats, which is now reworked, covered and remixed on this very limited LP I'm listening to now. The only familiar name doing the remixing is Imandra Lake, who contribute the dreamy haze-out of closer 'Sinu Plaadid', but it's a consistent collection of understated electro acoustic prettiness, punctuated by the acoustic Pastacas "Mizukiri" cover of 'Kuu Real Ara Uisuta'.
Elsewhere the opening Daisuke Namiki remix (also of 'Sinu Plaadid') provides some heartfelt Sigur Ros-esque atmospherics, and Eleckfumie's remix of 'Yaki Udon' has some beautifully layered melancholic melodies from acoustic guitar and melodica alongside shuffling beats, and the Tenniscoats Jogijaas + Laki-Laki retake of 'Jogi-Laki' is all soft programmed beats, subtle samples and intricate acoustic plucking. Very nice, no duds.
