Here's just the second outing for the mysterious Rezzett, like the previous 12" this sucker is out on The Trilogy Tapes. As soon as the intro gets going I begin to think it sounds like an intro on an old LTJ Bukem tape or something and then the beats kick in. Here's just the second outing for the mysterious Rezzett, like the previous 12" this sucker is out on The Trilogy Tapes. As soon as the intro gets going I begin to think it sounds like an intro on an old LTJ Bukem tape or something and then the beats kick in. I was expecting techno so a bit of lo-fi jungle is a pleasant suprise. Are these old tunes resurected from some old tapes in a shoebox or is someone out there deliberatly applying the same grainy production aesthetic that's become in vouge in house and techno to Drum & Bass? Does it matter? It's a nice tune, pretty blissed out and dreamy and perfect for rowing while wearing that 'Zootie' and the bit where it goes all wonky and filtered will impress the ladies.

Over on the flipside is 'Zootie (Yavas Mix)'. I've no idea if Yavas is the name of a remixer or just a reference to the place in Russsia but this mix dispenses with the beats and stretches out all the warm atmospherics into a hazy tropical ambient jobber.
