One for the Electric Wizard & Sleep fans, this millenium straddling smoker's delight of a platter has never (unbelievably) had this full vinyl unleasing before. I mean, who can skin up properly on a fucking CD case yo? This looks like a proper bitching, classic chunk of stoner wax for the rabid chong-hound in your life. Or workplace. Easy dude, pass the roach! NO DON'T TEAR UP THE SLEEVE MAAAAAN!

Can you believe Weedeater's debut album has taken 13 years to come out on vinyl? This Billy Anderson-produced slab of unashamed stoner riffing came out back in 2001 when CD was king, but Season of Mist have done a great job remastering the album for vinyl along with a tasty big gatefold reproduction of the CD's artwork.
For those who haven't heard it yet, this first blast from the now-legendary band has a big slow and heavy sound informed by bands like Sleep, but with a chuggily euphoric desert rock feel in places that's like a chunkier, slower Fu Manchu, while on tracks like 'Free' they let rip with some super-distorted skater-thrash antagonism. In essence this is a party record, but one which rips from the bong of twisted, simple doom rock like Noothgrush, Orange Goblin and Electric Wizard and reforms it into something celebratory and upbeat. Over a decade later it's still super fun and it's great to see it finally getting the fancy vinyl treatment it deserves.
