Hottly touted bass guitar 'n' drums duo, Royal Blood with another cut of stripped-down, groove heavy, stonerish blues rock - like a cross between The White Stripes and Queens Of The Stone Age. With their debut album not even out yet, these are set to be huge with mainstream TV appearances, heavy radio play and endorsement by the likes of Arctic Monkeys.

- Figure It Out by Royal Blood
There was a comical moment earlier in the week when Phil was introduced to the work of The Wytches by one of our younger members of staff. “This is just terrible” he whispered to me over the racket. Royal Blood too are one of those hip and popular younger bands that some of us old timers just don’t get. Maybe its because they sound rather like Led Zeppelin. Or maybe its because Jack White does a very, very similar thing. Yet when there is television coverage of summer festivals there they are with with thousands singing along. The lead track ‘Figure It Out’ is so Jack White it hurts. The B side is another churning rock effort but more tuneful but still with those third hand-Led Zep riffs roaming at large.
10/10 Edward Firmin Customer review, 30th October 2014
Looking at the cover;
Surrealist imagery of the quids head,
I was expecting a generic metal band.
But it instantly stuck to me as an accessible song I would remember for a long time.
It was the Solo that really impacted for me. Like a knife cutting through a metal sheet, it felt really Primal.
