That Vanessa Mae- I'd let her have a fiddle. Boom and indeed vaguely sexist boom. Start with a joke and run as fast as you can to the end. This is a re-issue of Smoke Dawson's 1971 private press (yawn) LP. Leader George Dawson was a bagpipe and fiddle player roaming around the US with nary a care in the world. There's a vaguely...no not vaguely, very Scottish feel to the music on offer. The kind of exhubrant fiddle playing you hear in pubs in remote Scottish villages. This was his sole album and the label did awfully well in tracking the record down but the question has to be asked........why?
