Not heard much on Lex of late. I assumed it had become defunct but apparently, I'm pleased to report not. These guys are from London like everyone is these days. That bloody London. They produce a form of glistening, propulsive urban bass music with strong techno or house elements depending on the particular tune; music that has parallels with both Mount Kimbie and Actress's less austere material. They use some nice spacey, ambient and industrial effects in their music so that it retains a sound level of intelligence, dynamism and mystique whilst keeping the feet metaphorically burning on that there floor.
Both experimental and accessible, it's odd to hear this out on Lex as it does not possess any particular hip-hop inflections whatsoever and is possibly a little more radical than some of the shit ex-affiliates Warp put out these days. Five tracks here, all totally well worth a listen. Actually, I could do a rap over this and totally ruin it......
