This new single from the groan-inducingly monikered Bear Hands is really reminding me of all the chunky post-grunge power-pop that was doing the rounds in the late '90s. Silverchair, Lit, Symposium, early Feeder...it's quite slickly produced with chugging verses that burst into a big rousing chorus. Tuneful but forgettable, with an incredibly irritating vocal inflection.   Over on the other side is a We The Wild remix that takes it in a woozy Disclosure-esque trip-hop-meets-house kind of direction but the melody and lyrics are carefully preserved with the vocal pushed even further into the fore if anything, and these aren't lyrics of a quality that wants highlighting.   Overall, this is the kind of thing that made me stop listening to the radio, and a step backwards for music in general.
