Here's a lovely 12" EP of drifty electronica from Herbstlaub, who I've not encountered before but I'm finding this quite lovely, if a little too relaxing for the all-out review frenzy that inevitably comes at the end of every bank holiday week. There are five tracks on here which all follow similar lines - soft synth drone'n'twinkle action along with processed guitars and harmonious vocal moans, the result being concordant waves of soft, delicate tones lapping over your toes with a coy, alien intimacy.   It's really pretty stuff, pop music deconstructed and extended into sensuous flutters and twinkles. The whole EP glides by in what seems like an instant. I'm finding it very calm and comforting, almost therapeutic in its soothing pleasantness. Bet it sounds great in the bath, although the 45rpm EP format is a bit of a faff when you're bathing.
