Fans of Turkish psychedelia, or Anatolian psychedelia as the fans truly call it, this one’s for you. Edip Akbayram looks deceptive when googled; an old, greying figure with a pearly-white smile which shouts “cheesy folk music” from a mile off. Not the case. Back in the early '70s, Akbayram was creating Western inspired rock music along with the likes of Baris Manço and Erkin Koray. These are great, fuzzy tunes with crooning Turkish vocals and a true sense of Istanbul.
Vinyl contains a booklet with photos and other such goodness.
