"I seem to remember that somebody said that we were cheating because Genesis P-Orridge wasn't here," insists Genesis P-Orridge in the opening seconds of this, my third live album of the day. "Well of course he's not. After all, why the hell would Genesis P. Orridge come to Lyon?" And so begins our lengthy voyage of out-there improv psych full of dark swooping guitar drones, rumbling electronics puttering hand percussion and Orridge's surrealist ramblings calmly cutting through it all.

Another entertaining moment comes at the start of 'Flowering Pain Give Space' with some entertaining chatter between the Throbbing Gristle/Psychic TV legend and some quite vocal audience members. "Every single one of you chose to be here. Isn't that fantastic," he exclaims. "It IS fantastic," pipes up an enthusiastic punter. It's a curious document, all surreal ranting and bleak ambience, entertaining and atmospheric and even funny in places, but a bit of a directionless slog in others, as is so often the way with this kind of improvised performance art.
