7/10 Ian Staff review, 25 April 2014

This little seven inch is steeped in musical history, being one of the first acts to appear on the brand new 4AD record label back in 1980 and one of the first bands to be labelled “Post-Punk” by the music press. These two tracks by Rema-Rema are part of their early demo material with ‘International Scale’ being a bass chucking future punk stomp with a Joy Division meets Big Black head on assault.

B-side ‘Short Stories’ is a raw, badly produced Velvet Underground type scenario with the vocals sounding like they’ve been recorded with the singers head in the toilet, it’s a nice little piece of punk memorabilia with a fantastic black and white fanzine full of interviews and gig reviews of The Heretics, Cervix, Blood And Roses and a 2013 interview with ex Rema-Rema members and obscure 1976 London all-girl punks The Stench.

9/10 art damij Customer review, 21st July 2014

Anyone who owns/owned the fabulous 'wheel in the roses' 12" should check this out-a great 2 track 7" of previously unreleased rema rema songs..international scale is just killer,a bass driven monotonous pile driving cyclic rhythm that bulldozes a path right through your skull.

The defiant pose mag has an amazing indepth feature/interview with various members, from the models,to rema rema through to mass, all is there..plus repro flyers for there 'events', a real 'labour of love' (which happens to be the title of the post rema rema band's sole album).. i feel very lucky to own this after all those years playing wheel in the roses..
