This is amazing. Where on earth are the chords in the chorus going? And why? They start descending downwards in a kind of familiar Zombies/Brian Wilson manner but then there’s an abrupt change where they head off into more familiar Franz Ferdinand territory bringing any melodiousness to an abrupt screaming halt. Meanwhile the verse sounds like its from a completely different song altogether.

I’m also baffled by the guitar sound they’ve used. In each ear you can hear a kind of busy metallic clank. Also, not confirmed at time of going to press but I think I can hear some phasing on the drums. Can’t wait to see them wrestling with this on live television.  

Not mentioned anywhere on the sleeve there is a B side. Its some kind of Plastic Bertrand sounding euro-pop sung in German. Ludicrous.
