So much stuff this week, its hard to cope. This is a darkly folky collaboration between members of Mersault, Eagleowl and James Yorkston’s band. The ten tracks unfurl slowly, full of droney violins and harmoniums giving the album a dark almost American gothic atmosphere.

At times coming across like Bonnie Prince Billy playing with some of the more out there drone-folk performers on Constellation, the album nicely straddles the line between the more trad-Scottish folk movers like Alasdair Roberts and the droning improvised experimentalists from across the pond full of dark textures and late night despairing atmospheres.
