Am I missing the point if I say that the vocals on opener ‘The Beginning’ are waaay out of key with the track? Am I missing the point if I say that the vocals on opener ‘The Beginning’ are waaay out of key with the track? Its sounds like a young lass singing along to a backing track in some kind of ‘get the kids off the streets’ youth programme. Get the lady a copy of melodyne before my ears explode.

On the second track there’s a harder edged synth sound but the vocals are as woeful as ever. Suddenly a klaxon sounds  - hopefully the cue for her to be hooked from the stage. Really woeful ‘woozy’ electronic pop that has none of the weirdness of the similarly disconcerting Inga Copeland/Hype Williams axis. I’m waiting for things to get better but despite the more interesting hybrid electronics on ‘Galaxy’ the vocals still grate like the worst example of Ariel Pink in not giving a shit mode.

Some of the music is perfectly reasonable but did no-one listened to these vocals back to check them? If they had then they’d know that some things aren’t weird or edgy.... they are just bad.
