9/10 Laurie Customer review, 14th August 2014

You got the fat guy in a t-shirt doing all the singing. Although the records released by LCD Soundsystem may sound like James Murphy, the self proclaimed fat guy, is also doing all the playing, anybody lucky enough to see the band play live would tell you they very much are a band. Possibly the best live band of the last decade. And to demonstrate this, the recording of their last ever show, at Madison Square Garden, has been released and produced specifically for vinyl by Murphy (a little note from the man himself in the boxset explains this).

It sounds great. There's a fantastic set/tracklist. The live versions or many songs sound distinctly different to the recorded versions, and nearly always, as good if not better. This is the late 70s to early 80s E Street Band, a group at the peak of their musical powers, playing stone cold classics that you can hear they enjoy as much as the audience does.

This is not a subjective topic. You have no reasons not to love this record.
