Mike has briefed you in more detail on the merits and otherwise of their simultaneously released debut album here but this single features one of the stronger tracks off the album so is worth some text of its own.
With an all star cast including Bill Ryder Jones (The Coral) and Richard Formby (producer extraordinaire) backing up main man Peter Jackson, this could be something great. Its a catchy-as-hell take on 60’s style pop with plenty off nice Beach Boys style oooh’s and aaah’s but despite the nice sounds it just leaves you feeling slightly empty with a feeling of having been completely unaffected by it all.
The B side is a great attempt at ‘Today’ era Beach Boys meets Michael Head. Thoroughly entertaining but just lacks that certain something.
