Reissue of the sixth studio album from San Francisco-based indie outfit American Music Club. This was their first release on a major label and was widely critically acclaimed (although not as revered as its predecessor, the seminal Everclear). However, it received little airplay and failed to chart. The following year's release, San Francisco, would be the band's last album until they were to reform 10 years later.

9/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 14th February 2015
I absolutely hated this when I first heard it. I'm pleased that I stuck with it though - I don't usually have the patience. Mark Eitzel's ability to write utterly heartbreaking and affecting ballads and juxtapose them with uptempo, melodic songs is quite a thing. The relatively noisy "Challenger" is followed by the heart-wrenching "I've Been A Mess". "Gratitude Walks" opens the album and stumbles into your ears with such elegance. "Keep My Around" starts off as an almost Beatles-esque pop song for Eitzel to be growling "Why din't you tell me?" during the chorus. It's just brilliant.
