Zambia by Rikki Ililonga

Rikki Ililonga is generally credited for spawning the 1970s genre Zamrock (Western influenced African music inspired by the funk of James Brown and the guitar psych-outs of Jimi Hendrix). Having played with almost every band in Zambia and toured Africa extensively, Ililonga switches effortlessly on this record from electric, acoustic, slide and bass guitars to drums, congas and harmonicas, bringing together a wealth of influence and vibrant colours.
