A million Ways to Make Gold is the third album by The Voluntary Butler Scheme. The project is the work of one man band, Rob Jones. The songs are melodic and upbeat indie pop with dominant brass backing - Jones taught himself to play trumpet, tenor and baritone sax from YouTube tutorials. Among the album’s highlights is a cover of the legendary songwriter Tom T. Hall’s That’s How I got To Memphis.
