You’d think a record that was about the negative media surrounding Detroit and its inhabitants would be an angry visceral affair but Underground Resistance have chosen to channel their displeasure into some limp techno. Even when turned up loud these beats don’t exactly scream “smash the system”. Its four to the floor with only a bic biro tapping the snare drum. Weird minimal atmospherics abound and seeing as though these are techno legends this has left me completely cold. Odd.
