Shame on me, I was a big fan of Fort Romeau’ (a.k.a Mike Norris) ‘Kingdom’ EP from a while back and for some reason his more recent output have passed me by. Need to stay alert! Anyway, newy ‘Her Dream’, released on Norris’ own imprint, doesn’t disappoint with three excellent neo-dance winners proving that being technologically spoilt for choice hasn’t completely destroyed electronic artists ability to make bumpin’ tunes.

‘I Knew’ and ‘Pirouette’ are cut from the same cloth, two blurzzed out extended jams meant to sooth your soul (and aching feet) as you dance the night away. Real soulful stuff and the filtering is to die for. Totally blissin’. Particularly enjoying the Ron Hardy-esque cuts going on in ‘Pirouette’. That shit be super funkin’. The B-side title track ‘Her Dream’ (remember to flip it on to 45rpm like) is a vast and epic salute to the sweet trappings of Acid House filtered via the 100% Silk aesthetic and sent rocketing into the cosmos. Super blurzzed, super chill and worth every minute of your time. Also notable for the excellent sleeve art.
