Consouling Sounds release this split effort from Canada’s own brooding post-rock one man band Eric Quach aka Thisquietarmy and Belgium’s Syndrome, it’s your usual dark droning soundscapes that build into quite foreboding crescendos, this time overlaid with electronic synth noise swells.

Quach creates these massive sounds using just a guitar and various effects including loops, delays and reverbs that swell and flow continuously throughout each track, it’s all incredibly moody and dark in that Godspeed type of way and a little overdone these days but it certainly makes for an interesting listen, if you’re partial to this kind of cinematic endlessness then you’ll love this no doubt, as a bonus track here you get a 15 minute track live at Magasin 4 in Belgium.
