I’m not sure - I’ll check. Hang on a sec. Is it ok to call a band Gay? Yup. Yup its ok if you use the umlaut. Here they are anyway, the Gay lads.

They perform a very catchy simplistic electronic pop that sounds like Jonathan Richman messing around with synthesizers. Its all very casual like they are just messing about  - the harmonies aren’t exactly “tight” but its a whole heap of fun. Imagine Stephin Merrit (Magnetic Fields) letting his hair down for a bit and having some fun and you are somewhere close.

On the B side they put down the synths and pick up a guitar. This is played in the “style” of Daniel Johnson and the song is sung in the style of a caterwauling drunk with a very loose idea of what staying in tune entails. Did he just sing ‘Franz Ferdinand’s cat? I think he did. Its hard to believe this has made it to record. Still, its a B side and the A side is pretty good.
