The increasingly prolific Jamal Moss pops up on Last Known Trajectory. A label I’ve taken some interest in since that fine Visiona et Dopplereffekt 12” and now this. Up on the A-side ‘Acid Rain Under the Stars (Extended Replay)’ has Jamal in lush soulful deep spiritual acid house mode with his lovely warm and raw production sound. You get the feeling he just jams these out practically in his sleep, nothing sounds over laboured. The track just flows really freely with lovely shimmering ethereal synths, funky drum machine punches and finely tweaked emotionally resonant acid bubbles.

Beneath lies ’Free The Energy (No Vocal Energy)’ with tougher distorted drums bringing a darker mood as they stomp beneath swirling psychedelic synth trails working into a deep heady groove that’ll not only keep those feet moving but take your mind astral. Yet another ace from this Chicago master.
