Sendai is Peter Van Hoesen and Yves De Mey and on this CD they've put together 11 tracks of almost overwhelming electronic insanity, shuddering clickity rhythms, banging drum machine shale bounding of bouncing splintered melodies, staticky twitches, epileptic buzzsaw chitter and pure-tone drones. At times they delve into a sort of fidgety deep space krautrock fever but the next minute they're back to bounding, flickery chrome-plated robotic expanses of dark glowing computer madness.

It's a bumpy, twisty turny soup of digital noisemaking which is both anarching and precisely ordered. It's making me feel a bit confused and queasy in places but it's making me nod my head happily in others. It's not background music. If you like challenging but entertaining sounds made by computers then that's what you'll get from this one.
