7/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 3rd November 2014

Doug Paisley ramps up the country vibe on his third album “Strange Feelings”. “Radio Girl” is more twangy, vocally and instrumentally than anything previous. It feels looser, and less smooth than its classy predecessor, “Constant Companion”, although “Our Love” slips back into that groove nicely. “Song My Love Can Sing” could be on the soundtrack to 70s road movie, you can picture a truck rolling down the highway as it plays. The stand out track here is “It’s Not Too Late (To Say Goodbye)” which has a superb vocal performance from Mary Margaret O’Hara. Some songs could draw comparisons to early material Jackson Browne or The Eagles (Yes, I said Jackson Browne or The Eagles and still I give it a favourable review. Get over it.)
