Another one of two Sound In Silence discs out this week, with this one you really get your money’s worth.

This is Greek musician and composer George Mastrokostas under his Absent Without Leave moniker. A whopping 28 tracks over two discs featuring remixes from fellow musicians and noise makers that George has come in contact with over the last few years.

There’s something here for everyone: shoegaze, electronica, minimal ambient and super atmospheric post-rock from the likes of Reigns (Monotreme Records), Kontakte (Drifting Falling), Aerosol (Rasmus Rasmussen of Limp) as well as many, many more floaty ambient types.

If you’re a fan of this kind of stuff (like me) then this is really something to get your teeth into, plenty of variation with artists you may already know of and a great way to discover artists that you’re completely new to.

Limited to 500 in SIS’s lovely recycled packaging, complete with fabric paper insert and polaroid photo on the cover.

10/10 Dave Customer review, 27th January 2014

Another awe inspiring release from Mr Mastrokostas.Great value too. You could do worse than check out his back catalogue however some of the early releases are getting harder to find.Faded Photographs and An Earlier Summer EP are both sublime.
