Some more Japanese niceness on the Schole Records label, here we have Akira Kosemura and the first single to be lifted from his new album.

Featuring vocalist Lasah, it’s the usual cosy sweet Japanese dream pop. The vocals are so sweet that it could be sung by some big-eyed, pretty Japanese school girl. Very Manga. What follows is a succession of remixes of the same song, all by various electronic, indie-J-pop composers like Toshiyuki Yasuda, Metome, Lawrence English and [.que].

It’s a lovely song...but by the time you get to the last track you feel you’ve heard it so many times that you’ve maybe gone a bit mad.
