Aquariana was one of Father Yod’s 13 (thirteen - count em!) wives. And there she is one the cover looking suspiciously like Rick Wakeman in a dress. Father Yod looks on eerily in the background as if wanting his money back after finding out his new wife was the lank haired composer of ‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth’.

This is a record which was not released back in the day, possibly because record companies had quality control departments back then. What we have are a series of lo-fi piano and vocal recordings and the songwriting style isn’t far away from the female singer songwriters of the day such as Carole King and Laura Nyro. ‘Walking Together’ is a particularly breezy effort which with fuller production could have passed for one of Goffin/King’s lesser efforts. The album is full of mystical lyrics and a lot of stuff about God. Its a bit show-tune ish at times with time and tempo changes galore. A curio definitely, but not an unpleasant listen
