Those Barnsley lads are back with a new single taken from last years 'The Future Isn't What It Used To Be' LP on Club AC30, with one foot planted firmly in the past and of all things shoegaze, ‘Promises’ is much of the same really.

To me their sound is very much similar to early Verve (‘A Storm In Heaven’ era) before they added the ‘THE’ to their name, very much a rock band so to speak but full of epic reverbed guitars that create a pretty fantastic wall of sound, the B-side ‘Alarms (One Way Road)’ is a fluffy little acoustic number, all featured on gorgeous heavyweight red and black vinyl.
