I’ve heard this track being talked up before and a rare treat it is too. Originally self released back in ‘81 this track is one of only two known recording by the group (the first ‘Jive Baby On A Saturday Night’ was re-released on Trunk a while back) and it’s an undeniable slice of bonged out funky post-punk goodness. Description? A simple bass/drum motif augmented with subtle sprinkles of wiry guitar plus a simple melodic female vocal hook, basically a skeletal party jam in the vein of ESG and Liquid Liquid. What’s there not to like? Flip it and Emotional Rescue’s in-house producers give us an enhanced dub cut of the original, fleshing it out rocking the echo unit to delightful effect.
