Winning the race of the two ex Remote Viewer guys to get their new recordings onto vinyl (Andrew Johnson’s A New Line (Related) album is coming soon and will be worth the wait), Craig Tattersall gives us his first ever solo vinyl transmission. Craig, you may recall,  was once in Hood but has most recently been active in The Boats and producing a series of hard-to-find solo recordings on his own Cotton Goods imprint.

He makes twinkling field recordings using found sound sourced from a holiday in Cornwall and adds meditative slightly out of focus toy box melodies. He uses a combination of keyboards and guitars to pluck very gentle, very careful melodies from the ether, washing them with effects and adding in the things he recorded on his tape recorder.

Its a gentle, drifting, contemplative album, always blurred at the edges but uniquely sewn giving it a very distinctive home made character. The packaging is lovely,  on bright yellow vinyl, it comes complete with a fold-a-round sleeve on which a printed a variety of photos and postcards.
