This is an interesting puppy.

Neil ‘Sandman’ Gaiman and Amanda ‘Fucking’ Palmer married in 2011 and then decided to tour together for 6 nights across the West Coast of Americaland. They were unsurprisingly popular so the newlyishweds Kickstarted to get your money (after much fan clammering) so those precious recordings could be released as a triple CD set. That happened and they all went to the Kickstarters. Boo hoo. Stop your pathetic sobbing though as you, the rest of plebdom, can now get your hands on the triple CD or double vinyl set (which I presume has less tracks on that the CDs) as it is now generally available to the masses.

Now I don’t have a CD here to review this so I’m watching clips of the show on Youtube and it looks like it was fun. Amanda sings heartfelt personable songs which sound like she’s baring her entire soul to you. Then there’s the comedy tunes like ‘Makin’ Whoopee’ where Neil joins in too which are light and frothy. From what I can gather one CD is Amanda singing, one is Gaiman doing various poems and stories and the other disc is both of ‘em together collaborating and generally being happy together.

They looked like they had tremendous fun doing it and I’m guessing that’s the point of it all. Without fun you may as well be dead or something. I’m not saying buy this or die though as that would be harsh even for me.
