With a new album in the works and her oddball collaboration as the Drink bringing her to new listeners it's a decent enough time for Cate Le Bon's earlier work to be re-issued. This is her third album and it showcases her way with a wandering and winsome melody. Duran Duran fans should note that her real name is Cate Timothy.

8/10 Jack Customer review, 22nd June 2016
This LP should've got a lot more attention when it came out, perhaps the reason it didn't is simply that there's been so much great cutting edge music being turned out by so many great women (see Julia Holter, St. Vincent, Marnie Stern). Interesting clean-toned guitar work, often based on intertwining riffs somewhat reminiscent of Television, combined with well-written, well-sung lyrics. Ms. Le Bon has a very compelling voice, and is a terrific guitarist. Her odd time signature riff on "Duke" is especially great.
