Minimalist composer Phill Niblock releases his latest for Touch Music, now at the grand old age of 80 (yes that’s right folks, 80!), he has been making groundbreaking music and art since long before you and I were born. ‘Touch Five’ is a double CD set comprising five pieces, each exploring the tonal shifts and changes in mood of the instrument featured.

The first disc is played by Belgian cellist Arne Deforce and the title ‘Feedcorn Ear’ is actually an anagram of his name. 'A Cage Of Stars' is taken from a concert curated by Susan Stenger and marked the 100th anniversary of John Cage's birth and the 20th anniversary of his death, disc two is three pieces created from three different quartets of treated guitars, all creating an original sound from the almost electronic drones that the guitars make.
