The first two Dark Acid 12”s ate my face off, and here’s the latest masterclass in anarchic electronics from four more of the coolest names. This one even spins at 45. Opening proceedings we’ve got Jamal Moss (Hieroglyphic Being, Sun God, etc) in his IBM (Insane Black Man) guise for a pumping start to proceedings, a robotic industrial beat covered in squeaks and squelches which toys deliciously with your mind before the altogether more sinister thump of Tzu Sing’s ‘Teeth’ takes over, all crisp stomping techno beats and buzzing-fly synths which give it a twitchy horror movie feel.

Flip it and Matt Weiner, aka TWINS, has some slicing deep techno business with a simple, insistent beat, cold processed vocals and twitching synths over hypnotic arpeggios, it’s a subtle cosmic bug-out. Finally Ela Orleans, who appeared on the previous one in a duo as Black/Tract, goes it alone this time round as Tract with some fast paced acid techno action which morphs her distinctive stumbling grooves into something robotic and ruthless. All quality tracks as we’ve come to expect from this series. You should buy all three if you haven’t already.
