A few weeks ago Li'l Biz wondered aloud how teenagers make music as mundane and anaemic as London Grammar. I have no idea. When I was a teenager I was a fucking idiot, throwing stuff about everywhere. When I was a teenager I was a fucking idiot, throwing stuff about everywhere. This lot are all 17 yet the first half of the main track ‘Gods’ sounds like some whisky stained 50-something Tindersticks types. Thankfully halfway through they pick up guitars and have a bit of a play on them. Similarly ‘Wunderkind’ is understated, half-The xx, half-Elbow. ‘Prague’ is a little identikit weepy sub Bloc Party with the odd Wedding Present meta strummed guitar to save it...just.

The vocals have that Guy Garvey thing going on and regular readers know how much I detest him and his husky voice and the fact he wants to be everyones friend. WELL HE’S NOT MY FRIEND AND HE NEVER WILL BE! Closer ‘Lost in Paris’ breaks out with some raucous guitars and a nice chanty bit at the end.

10/10 Atalee Customer review, 15th January 2014

Blaenavon’s Koso is comprised of 4 flawless songs that are not only powerful, fresh, and overflowing with good-natured guitar, but these songs also take part in bringing life to the enchanting and spirited story of these three rising stars.
